Michael S. Brown Village Center at Wofford College
Lime paint was originally used at Wofford College on the Michael S. Brown Village Center. When painting bricks, it is extremely important to use a breathable mineral coating. While lime paint is highly breathable, it is not the most durable. After a short period of time, the lime paint on the Village Center exhibited severe weathering and biological staining. Wofford College wanted a long term remedy. D/2 Biological Solution was first used to clean the algae and mold staining from the surface and prepare it for painting. BEECK Renosil in a custom color was then selected to provide a beautiful appearance that will last decades.
